Attending Penn State as a Kinesiology major - Mrs. Guthrie has been coaching sports for more than 15 years. Her passion to help the community and to get students active and healthy stems from her Christian Faith. She says that it is important for students to know that you do not have to “play” the best in order to be a good athlete but rather to understand that it is their effort that means the most. Mrs. G is passionate about athletics, her family, her faith and gardening. She hopes that students who take her class will learn more than just a sport but also life lessons. Coaching is her passion and she says she will continue to spread her words of wisdom as she believes this is God’s calling for her on earth.

Senior / Broadcast Journalism Student

Allison Lavelle is a graduating Senior at The Pennsylvania State University. Through her time at Penn State she has had two internships that have expanded her interests in regards to Journalism. Through working with Magnum Broadcasting - her role as a Multimedia Intern engaged her love for social media, promotional and advertising work. Through her other internship working for Penn State Athletics in their Customer Relations center - she has founded a passion for account management and customer service. While she might not see herself in front of the camera in a news-room, she does hope to engage in production and the promotional aspect of news.
