Engineering student tackles the PSU ultimate sports challenge
Stephanie Deckard, senior-architectural engineer, is taking a personal challenge to attend at least one game of all Penn State sports in her last year in college.
The idea came up because Deckard has only two semesters left at Penn State. And she loves to get out and support Penn State athletics.
On Sunday afternoon she attended the second round in NCAA tournament play, Penn State (ranked 3) played Syracuse. This was the first time Deckard watched the sport she played from seventh grade until high school. She was surprised to notice some of the mistakes she would make as a players.
So far Deckard and her roommate have gone to the football, women's volleyball, women's basketball and field hockey games.
