Alan Wisniewski Earns Scholarship
Penn State head basketball coach Patrick Chambers announced Wednesday that senior forward Alan Wisniewski will be placed on scholarship this season. The 6’ 9’’ Wisniewski is in his third year with the Nittany Lions after joining the team in 2011.
"Alan works tremendously hard and his teammates respect him for the attitude he brings to our locker-room," Chambers said in a release through gopsusports.com. "He has developed into a leader of our team. We are happy to be able to recognize his dedication with a scholarship for the upcoming season."
Wisniewski, an industrial engineering major, played in 12 games last season, including seeing action in seven of the Lions’ last nine games.
The Sterling Heights, Mich. native set career highs with six points and eight rebounds last year at Nebraska.
Wisniewski will likely battle incoming freshmen Payton Banks, Julian Moore and sophomore Donovan Jack for playing time off of the bench this season.
