Penn State pauses to remember coach Paterno

Sights and sounds from the memorial for Joe Paterno at the Bryce Jordan Center. Juxtaposed against the somber voices of the Penn State Glee Club, this audio slideshow features the eulogies of former Penn State football players Kenny Jackson and Joe Pittman, and Paterno's son Jay.

The memorial began mid-afternoon Thursday. The nearly two hour program included words from players from each of the six decades Paterno coached at Penn State. A Paterno scholar and the dean of the College of Liberal Arts provided their perspectives. Nike founder and chairman Phil Knight defended Paterno's record in the Jerry Sandusky child sexual abuse scandal. The memorial concluded with a heartfelt eulogy by Jay Paterno.
