This week...Altoona and State College battle in the first night of Mid-Penn Commonwealth play. WIll Hollidaysburg's Golden Tiigers pick up their first win of the season or fall to Butler? And, as the Nittany Lions head to Alabama too take on Auburn, we'll preview the upcoming match-up. Logan Bourandas is a third-year broadcast journalism major from Long Island, NY. Alex Rocco is a third-year student from Long Island, New York majoring in broadcast journalism. Rocco is a general manager, football reporter and broadcaster for CommRadio. Along with covering football for CommRadio, he’s a women’s soccer reporter for The Daily Collegian. Evan Popalis is a third-year from Lititz, Pennsylvania, majoring in broadcast journalism. He is a writer, analyst, and play-by-play commentator for the CommRadio sports department. His writings include weekly NHL betting previews along with power rankings for the NHL and NFL. He appears weekly on the NHL Podcast as a host and analyst reviewing the previous week’s action. Joseph Callahan
Four-Year / Broadcast Journalism
Growing up, Joe Callahan Jr. strove to become a professional athlete, even to the point of participating in the walk-on tryouts for the Penn State football team. Now, he strives for a broadcasting career. Host of CommRadio’s live debate talk show and 2021 ‘Talk Show of the Year’, titled ‘Phone Booth’, he is a go to personality in debating professional and collegiate sports on the airways. Being mostly an on-air talent, he is also an analyst on Penn State Sports Night, the sports debate show on Penn State Network Television Network, host and analyst on The Sportsblitz, the sports talk show on TheLion90.7FM, an anchor for Centre County Report, the student local news station of Centre County, host on After the Whistle, Penn State’s local high school football recap show, the creator of The Valley Network, a mainly sports television broadcasting network. In the professional, he was on the media team for the 2022 Valley League Summer Champions, the Charlottesville Tom Sox.
Nolan Wick

Nolan Wick is a second-year student majoring in digital journalism from Silver Spring, Maryland. Nolan is a writer in the sports department for CommRadio. Nolan can be heard on “District of Champions,” a weekly sports radio show he co-hosts for CommRadio. Nolan also contributes to Onward State and After The Whistle.
