Junior / Broadcast Journalism and Political Science

Will Desautelle is a junior from Washington Crossing, PA. majoring in broadcast journalism and political science with a minor in Spanish. He is very involved in writing, broadcasting, and producing for numerous Penn State sports teams. For the last two years, he has worked for Penn State Athletics as a feature writer for the Penn State women’s and men’s volleyball teams. Last summer, Will interned at State College Magazine and was a reporter and play-by-play broadcaster for the State College Spikes. He has also worked as a feature writer for NBADraft.net and has studied abroad in Guatemala. He has written for Armchair All-Americans, covering Penn State football. Outside of CommRadio, he is a member of the Penn State Men’s Club Volleyball team and is a member of the THON Communications Committee. Brian McLaughlin

Junior / Broadcast Journalism

Brian McLaughlin is a Junior in the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications and one of two student General Managers for CommRadio. He is a Play-by-Play voice for many Penn State sports for CommRadio and especially enjoys calling baseball, football and hockey. Brian has also been a writer and podcast host for every major Penn State sport. Previously he has interned with the Altoona Curve, the Double-A Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. He has also worked as a Play by Play Broadcaster for the Kalamazoo Growlers, a collegiate summer league baseball team in the Northwoods League. Freshman / Broadcast Journalism

Mitch Stewart is a freshman from Roanoke, VA majoring in broadcast journalism. During his time in ComRadio, Mitch has written stories for football, recorded podcasts for football and basketball, while also doing several board operations to enable sporting events to go over the air. Also, Mitch called Penn State’s women’s volleyball team’s upset of #1 Minnesota back in October. Mitch is also a writer for Onward State. Davvid Hadar

Sophomore / Broadcast Journalism

David Hadar is a sophomore from Chapel Hill, N.C., majoring in broadcast journalism and minoring in entrepreneurship. He is a member of CommRadio’s sports team and has done several broadcasts with them, providing both play-by-play and color commentary. Additionally, David served as the voice of the Penn State Women’s Volleyball team for the 2018 season, covering the radio broadcasts for all home and away matches. He hopes to one day have a career as a play-by-play announcer or a TV anchor.
