Student’s Musical Experience is the Essence of Joy

Elizabeth Peter says she has been singing for as long as she can remember.  She has three sisters who all sing and play instruments, so it was a no brainer for her to dive into the musical world as well.  She says both her parents have always had a musical influence on her, even though she says her Dad is tone deaf.

When she got to college she never intended to continue performing music but when a friend told her to audition for the gospel choir Essence of Joy, she decided to go for it.  After just one year in Essence she became the student president of the choir.  Now in her senior year she says she's glad that she auditioned and has made some great memories in the process.
