This was Vincent Tedesco’s fifth year helping with the Centre County elections. He picked up this job through his wife after he retired in 2011. He didn’t cast his first paper ballot until his late-forties because he served for more than 27 years in the U.S. military and used an absentee ballot.

Tedesco said he has always held a firm faith that voting is what makes the U.S. a strong and successful country. With this right to vote endowed, he was able to take initiatives to discuss current concerning issues and knew that his voice counted. According to him, he hoped this voting system, which has existed for more than 200 years, would remain successful for future generations.
