Guitar store feeds love of music

Story posted November 10, 2014 in News by Lindsay McAvoy

Mark Ross, a father and husband who lives in State College, opened a small guitar store with partner Junior Tutwiler  to feed the love that they have for music. Having grown up playing in bands and fostering his musical talent, Ross joined with Tutwiler to create a business that could support his family while allowing him to indulge in his favorite pastime.

Since 1997, Alley Cat Music moved several times and shut down briefly then re-opened when both Ross and Tutwiler's  schedules allowed the time. The store specializes in many different types of guitars from acoustic to electric as well as supplying used public address gear, inexpensive new acoustics as well as strings, cables, and other accessories.
