It was the first snowfall in State College. Many residents and students around the area came into different precincts and polling stations. Polls were open in the area from 7am-8pm around the county.

Sharon Perisho was at the State College Evangelical Church on Blue Course Drive campaigning for Republican Dave White who was running for district judge. She said that the "white out" was a good sign. His opponent was Democrat Casey McClain.

Along with White, there was a new mayor up for election. Don H. Hahn was running as a Democrat, Michael Black for the Republicans, and Ron Madrid as an independent. Other races included the board of supervisors, The borough council, and judge of the court of the common pleas. Though I found the crowds weren't as hectic as last year when I covered the news election, people still came to cast their votes.
