Behind the Tapestries

Rashmit Arora is a senior at Penn State majoring in environmental economics. Arora is hoping to pursue a career in research based environmental activism. That’s just his career for money though, his true passion is music.

Music came to him as a child in New Mumbai, India as a way to soothe him of his violent behavior. Aurora started a band called Tapestries with two of his closest friends. The folk band just released their first single, which Arora wrote, called Colliding.

Nathaly was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, but raised primarily in Latrobe, Pa. During her college career, she has been actively involved in several live radio and television broadcast productions, live webcast coverage of the nationally recognized Penn State THON. She has interned at WQED in Pittsburgh and FOX 5 in DC. She hopes to work as a TV/radio personality host for a major news or entertainment network such as CNN or E! Entertainment.
