PODCAST: NBA Trade Deadline Recap

posted February 19, 2015 in CommRadio, Sports by ComRadio Staff

After one of the most frantic and frenzied trade deadlines in recent memory, Uriah Tagle and Joe Garofalo break down all of the movement around the NBA on this podcast.

Multiple clubs swapped starting point guards, with Goran Dragic landing with the Miami Heat, Brandon Knight replacing him with the Phoenix Suns, and Michael Carter-Williams filling Knight's role with the Milwaukee Bucks. The Oklahoma City Thunder and Boston Celtics were among the big winners of the day, with Oklahoma City sending Reggie Jackson to the Detroit Pistons while acquiring Utah Jazz center Enes Kanter and Pistons guard D.J. Augustin, and Boston adding Phoenix's Isaiah Thomas.

Two contenders in the Western Conference bolstered their bench with the Portland Trailblazer's acquiring Arron Afflalo from the Denver Nuggets, and the Houston Rockets adding Pablo Prigioni via the New York Knicks and K.J. McDaniels from the Philadelphia 76ers. A pair of league veterans were dealt back to the teams that drafted them as well, with Kevin Garnett returning to Minnesota and Tayshaun Prince going back to Detroit.
