Senior / Broadcast Journalism & Political Science

My name is Gina Feghali and I am from Stamford Connecticut.  I am a junior at the Pennsylvania State University. I am double majoring in broadcast journalism and political science. I have been very interested in journalism since high school where I was the newspaper and yearbook page editor.

This past summer and the summer of 2011 I interned for Fox News Channel on the number 1 cable morning show Fox & Friends. There I would produce segments by contacting the guests, getting interviews, creating their packet, and putting together graphics that went along with the segment. I assistant produced the All-American Summer Concert Series that took place every Friday at 7 am. I also helped market their summer concert series using social media to create a buzz for the bands that would be performing.

I was the news producer and anchor for Penn State Network Television the news station for the past 2 years.  I selected the content for the broadcast each week along with assigning packages, b-roll, and readers. Last year I interned for the Big Ten Network Go PSU Sports. I became experience with shooting ENG, getting interviews with coaches and players, along with creating highlights for sports ranging from volleyball to fencing. Along with ENG shooting I have also helped with the live broadcast for basketball games and wrestling tournaments. There I created graphics, replays, and the score bug.

In the summer of 2010 I interned for News 12 Westchester in Yonkers New York where I logged video, shadow reporters, and put together packages in time sensitive manners. I got the opportunity to interview top executives and got voice sots that were used on air. This summer I will be interning for Fox News Channel on the morning show Fox & Friends again.
