Erin Johnson

Senior / Broadcast Journalism

Erin is from Alexandria, Virginia, majoring in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in International Affairs and has a focus in sports media through the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism. She is currently the President of the Association for Women in Sports Media (AWSM) at Penn State. AWSM Penn State was awarded Student Chapter of the Year for the 2017-2018 academic year by the national organization. Erin has interned with the Penn State women’s soccer team, B94.5 All the Hits radio station, and Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics. Her previous semester was spent studying Social Sciences in Amsterdam, Netherlands at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. Following graduation, Erin hopes to work in television sports broadcasting as a multimedia reporter, anchor, or producer.
