Former Penn Staters who have made the jump from playing on Saturdays to playing on Sundays, consistently make big impacts in games all across the country on a weekly basis. This yearʼs week eight NFL slate was no exception.

San Francisco 49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman had a huge day in his teamʼs 42-10 rout of the Jacksonville Jaguars, recording 10 tackles, including one for a loss. Also playing in that game was former Nittany Lions and current Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny, who had 12 tackles in the losing effort.

While the Kansas City Chiefs slipped past the Cleveland Browns to remain the NFLʼs sole undefeated team, former Penn Stater Tamba Hali had a quiet game, recording two tackles from the linebacker position.

One of this weeksʼ best games came from Detroit, where the Lions came back from a fourth quarter deficit to defeat the Dallas Cowboys with a thrilling last second touchdown. Despite the loss, Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee had a tremendous game, recording 10 tackles and two interceptions.

A pair of former Nittany Lion defensive ends played for the Miami Dolphins in their 27-17 loss to the New England Patriots. Jared Odrick had four tackles and a sack, and Cameron Wake had just two tackles in the loss.

The final former Penn Stater playing on Sunday was Green Bay Packers tight end Andrew Quarless, who recorded two catches for 13 yards in the Packers 44-31 Sunday night win, over the Minnesota Vikings.
