Half-Marathon Man
Tim Appman first got into running in middle school. Although there was a brief period of time in 9th grade when he considered giving it up, he stayed with it and ran cross-country and track throughout high school.
One of his favorite aspects of running is seeing the results from his hard work on race day.
“You get a great feeling of accomplishment after seeing your training pay off,” Appman said.
Appman, a native of Pittsburgh, and now a sophomore at Penn State runs for the club cross-country team. After cross-country season ended in November he set his sights on the Nittany Valley Half-Marathon in an effort to break his previous personal record for that distance.
