Jack Milewski is a sophomore majoring in broadcast journalism. He is a member of com radio’s sports team and helps to produce broadcasts as well as announcing multiple sporting events. He also produces written content and podcasts for the website. To go along with his involvement in com radio, Jack is also an intern at gopsusports.com. He covers the women’s hockey team and produces written content for the website. Jack is also the voice of Penn State Women’s Volleyball and travels with the team to cover all of their matches. Jack hopes to become a play-by-play man for a big market hockey team in the future.

Mandy Bell is a senior from Chambersburg, PA, majoring in broadcast journalism and minoring in English. She has served as a digital media intern with Little League International and an associate reporter for MLB.com based in Baltimore. While in CommRadio, Mandy has done play-by-play announcing for Penn State baseball, softball and basketball teams; written for baseball, basketball and football; and has produced for multiple sporting events, including the 2017 Rose Bowl. Jon Gross is a junior from Upper Saddle River, New Jersey double-majoring in Broadcast Journalism and International Politics. He has been very involved in CommRadio’s sports department since coming to Penn State. Jonathan actively reports on the Penn State football and basketball teams for the department, both on-air and in-print. Jon also broadcasts football, soccer, baseball softball, and volleyball for CommRadio. He was selected to broadcast the 2017 Rose Bowl Game between Penn State and USC with CommRadio. Jon also hosts The Jon Gross Show and is a co-host on I-95 Sports Talk with George Stockburger. In addition to ComRadio, he is the radio voice of Penn State women’s volleyball for GoPSUsports.com and has broadcasted State College Area High School Football and Basketball with C-NET. Tom Shively is a sophomore from Ashburn, Virginia majoring in broadcast journalism. He is one of the CommRadio editors for the 2016-17 school year. He serves as a men’s basketball producer and has broadcasted several Penn State sports as well as hosting two talk shows airing weekly on CommRadio. David Arroyo is both a social media and arts director for CommRadio and also contributes to the sports staff. He has served as a producer for multiple Penn State sports while in CommRadio, has done play by play for Penn State sporting events such as football, basketball and volleyball and co-hosted and produced his own talk show. During the fall of 2017, David was also an anchor, producer and reporter for the Centre County Report. David has interned at B94.5 (State College) and Center City Film and Video (Philadelphia). Brandon Pelter is a junior majoring in broadcast journalism. During his time with CommRadio, Brandon has served as an editor and Sports Director. George Stockburger's photo

George Stockburger

Senior / Journalism

George is currently a student at The Pennsylvania State University studying Broadcast Journalism. He was accepted into the Curley Center for Sports Journalism, and is an active member in the College of Communications radio station.

During his time at Penn State, George covered college football, the NFL, college hockey, and college baseball.

In 2016, George provided play-by-play and color analysis for multiple Penn State sports, including football, mens hockey, and womens hockey for ComRadio.

George currently works for Fansided Inc. as an editor/expert for “NFL Mocks” covering the NFL, College Football, and NFL Draft. He holds the same title for Fansided’s Philadelphia Phillies site “That Ball’s Outta Here.” Throughout the 2016 football season, George published two weekly columns for Fansided.com.

Previously, he interned for Scout Media, Inc. during the summer of 2016 in Seattle, Washington, where he wrote columns, produced videos, and covered The Opening Football camp at the Nike World Headquarters.

Brian McLaughlin is a sophomore working in CommRadio as a member of the sports staff. He is a Play-by-Play voice for many Penn State sports for CommRadio and especially enjoys calling baseball and football. Brian has also been a writer and podcast host for every major Penn State sport. Other relevant journalism experience comes from an intern with Gopsusports.com as a beat writer for Penn State Women’s Basketball. In the future, he hopes to work as a Play-by-Play announcer for a professional baseball team.

Travis Sutton is a member of Penn State’s official web based radio station, ComRadio, as well as pursuing a major in telecommunications. Working on the production staff at ComRadio, Travis helps create productions elements for varying live sports broadcasts. He also writes articles covering Penn State Men’s Hockey for the station as well as being a part of podcasts each week discussing Penn State football. Cooper is currently a sophomore majoring in broadcasting with a double minor in
spanish and history. In addition to working on the management team for
CommRadio as an Editor, he also works at the Daily Collegian as a women’s
basketball reporter. When he is not editing stories for CommRadio, he hosts his
show, “On Deck,” where he discusses trending sports topics of the
week. Cooper has an internship as a play by play and color commentator for C-NET Centre County where he commentates State College High School football and basketball games. Cooper served as a part-time color commentator over the summer for the Utica Blue Sox, a summer collegiate
baseball team in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League which consistently ranks in the top-five summer collegiate baseball leagues in the country. He is also one of three student representatives on the Bellisario College of Communications Alumni board. Lastly, he is currently
