Going to a State College Spikes game is a fun-filled family event for fans across central Pennsylvania, but with the Spikes changing major league affiliation for the second time since 2006, this minor league team is ready to have their winning record as successful as their game day atmosphere.

Karisa is a graduating senior at The Pennsylvania State University double majoring in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science with a concentration in Sports Journalism from the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism.

With a passion for social, digital, integrated and traditional media platforms, Karisa is striving to pursue a career in sports reporting, media relations or sports representation.

Karisa interned with the broadcast division of the Miami Dolphins as an integrated media intern during the summer of 2012. She has also covered Penn State athletics as an on-site reporter and contributing feature writer for online sports blogs and local radio stations.
