For the first two years at Penn State, Bobby Hilzen hid his passion for music behind his full-time hobby of swimming for the varsity team. Hilzen realized that he would rather spend his time making music rather than doing ten workouts a week, so he quit. The hospitality management student is spending his junior year focusing on school and pursuing his dream of becoming a DJ.

Hilzen began playing drums when he was seven, which led him to grow a love for the new genre of Electric Dance Music. He states, “My dad used to work for a stage-lighting company. After being around sounds my whole life and playing the drums, I knew electric dance music was the route I wanted to take.” Hilzen explains that he is looking for his own “distinct sound” that will make him stand out from anyone else.
