At the young age of 13, Synclair Jackson discovered his passion for writing and performing rhymes.  Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland he completed and performed his first song “Grace Blockers” and immediately became a local hit.

After his first performance Jackson realized the power of moving an audience using his art. He then transformed into his rap alter-ego 'Oxygen Pernell'. Oxygen has become a metaphor for the role that creating music plays in his life – “it’s like air.” Oxygen, or “the breath of hip hop” is now a senior at Penn State University, studying IST  (Information Science Technology) and English Literature. He performs at Open Mic nights regularly around State College, and just released his new single “Rearview.”
