Bilha Pierre, a junior majoring in Human Development and Family Studies, has had her share of trials and tribulations. At the age of 20 she found herself pregnant with twins, and was forced to withdraw from school her sophomore year. Two years later Bilha is looking to finish her studies and do right for her kids. Life is not always easy for this single mom who must work and managing motherhood. Her kids continue to motivate her to continue her studies, so she can ultimately not only support herself, but her family.
Recently Bihla joined Krimson Kourts Incorporated, a national organization dedicated to building leadership and organizational skills among its membership, providing community service to the university and the local community and an atmosphere for social involvement. She managed to join the organization while also juggling motherhood, her job, and schoolwork.

Bilha loves the sisterhood of the organization because they became a family, while her family was changing. She wants to look back in later years and be able to say she helped an organization grow and make a difference.
