Sliding Into The Future
Emily Elinsky is a junior at Penn State University majoring in Music Education and Economics. This is her third year as a trombone player in Penn State’s famous Blue Band. She one day hopes to inspire other students by turning her love for music into a teaching career.
Elinsky picked up the trombone at an early age and went on to be a member of the North Allegheny High School Marching Band. Her devotion to marching band was what brought her to Penn State, and claim the Blue Band was simply “One of the best in the country”.
Although she still has two more years at Happy Valley, she does not take a single moment for granted. She is thankful for the relationships she’s made through the Blue Band and hopes to continue to collaborate with others who share her passion for sound.
