Penn State student Virginia Schoonmaker has been a proud health nut ever since high school, when she was diagnosed with Coeliac disease, a disorder of the small intestine to which the only known treatment is a gluten-free diet.

Schoonmaker works every day to maintain a healthy lifestyle. She wakes up early each morning to go to the gym whether it be running or using a cardio machine. She goes back to the gym later in the day to strength train. She also maintains an extremely strict diet to ensure she gets the nutrients she needs on a daily basis.
