Making his NFL debut, Matt McGloin came in during the fourth quarter of the Raiders’ loss to the Eagles. Starting on his own 29, McGloin went 4 of 6 for 64 yards leading his offense on a touchdown drive. He finished the game 7 of 15 for 87 yards.

For the second time in his career, Sean Lee was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month. In another solid performance, the former Penn State linebacker recorded nine tackles (four solo) in the Cowboys win against the Vikings.

On the other sideline, Vikings linebacker Michael Mauti made his third appearance on the field this season with two tackles (one solo) in the losing effort.

Tamba Hali of the Kansas City Chiefs recorded four tackles (two solo) in their 23-13 victory over the Buffalo Bills.

For Miami, Cameron Wake came out much more impressive than last week with five solo tackles along with three sacks in the Dolphins' 22-20 win in overtime against the Bengals. Jared Odrick had a quieter game with one tackle and a half sack.

Phil Taylor, defensive lineman for the Cleveland Browns, recorded one tackle in the 24-18 win against the Baltimore Ravens.

Another defensive tackle, Jordan Hill, had one tackle in the Seattle Seahawks' 27-24 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Linebacker Josh Hull of the Washington Redskins also registered one tackle in the game against the Chargers, resulting in a Redskins 30-24 victory.

Several former Penn State players were either inactive, did not play, or saw limited time and did not record any stats including Washington running back Evan Royster, Seattle fullback Michael Robinson, San Diego offensive lineman Rich Ohrnberger and Miami quarterback Pat Devlin.

Paul Poslusznny and the Jaguars, and Navorro Bowman and the 49ers, had a bye in week nine.

Devon Still missed his second straight game with the Bengals due to an elbow injury.

Pittsburgh offensive lineman Levi Brown (triceps) and Carolina fullback Michael Zordich (torn ACL) remain sidelined for the rest of the season.

Linebacker Dan Connor, who is out injured for the season with a "neck burner," was waived by the New York Giants.

Linebacker Nathan Stupar was released this week by San Francisco but picked up by Jacksonville.
