MorningStar Solar Home
MorningStar Solar Home at Penn State University at University Park is a net-zero home. It produces as much energy as it consumes. The process of building the MorningStar Solar Home was complicated and long. However, the Penn State team scored fourth place overall in the field of 20 international universities in 2007. The Solar Home is now about to be integrated in the Penn State HyRES Lab and will serve as a residence for a graduate student to test the house systems in real life conditions. Lisa Brown is the associate director for the Solar Home project and Sarah Klinetob is the project manager. They were both in charge of the MorningStar Solar Home project in 2007.
