Lin creates animation for her secret love
As a 15-year-old girl, Mengyao Lin felt isolated from her peers and she had some secrets that she didn't want to share with her parents. So she channeled her energy into writing a novel about a fantasy world occupied by God and evil spirits.
“This is my real story,” Lin said, blushing.
She published the novel online, chapter by chapter. Eventually it was distributed in print
Now in college, she has her first crush. This time Lin is channeling her feelings into animation. She thinks animation could be her career, too.
“I want to write down all the beautiful stories and adapt them to animation, so people of all ages can understand,” she said. The blush disappeared. No matter what the topic was, as long as it changes to animation, she becomes serious and professional, with ambitious sparkles shining in her eyes.
