For Olivia Morgan, THON offers a different kind of dancing

Olivia Morgan will be dancing on the floor for THON 2017, a 46-hour dance marathon at Penn State to raise money to help fight pediatric cancer.

But the truth is, dancing is nothing new for Morgan.

Morgan is a member of Vole, a ballet club at Penn State, which means she dances every week whether it is at practice or for a performance.

But THON presents a bit of a different challenge for Morgan, and it’s not the typical “dancing” that she is used to. In reality, she will be standing for 46 hours straight, a physical and mental strain that she has never experienced before.

Morgan, a senior from Hershey, Pa., has altered her normal routine in an effort to fully prepare herself for all of the ups and downs.
