Giavonni, who did not want to provide his last name, grew up in Cedar Grove, NJ. Giavonni is five years sober. Prior to being sober, Giavonni struggled with his life, always looking for the next way to get high.
Giavonni credits Alcoholics Anonymous for getting him sober. Gio, as his friends call him, continues to go to meetings every week. To him, one of the best parts about AA is the community. Hanging out with like-minded individuals and helping other people get sober keeps him coming back.
Today, he enjoys many things, and tries to stay busy. Giavonni is a vegetarian, tries to work out every day, works on the show Inkmaster and is in a small punk rock band. Giavonni now lives with his girlfriend in Montclair, New Jersey.
