DJ TMAC and the Blue Room

Story posted November 10, 2014 in News by Greg Surine

Inspired by his father and uncle, Terrence Edison began DJ-ing in middle school. His friends started calling him "DJ TMAC" and it has since become his identity. He attended Penn State Greater Allegheny where he met Ralph Jacquez, with whom he shared a love of music. The two came to Penn State University Park together and started "The Blue Room," a Thursday night hip hop show on The LION 90.7fm's Jam 91.

The Blue Room is a two-hour show; half talk and half music. On the first half of the show DJ TMAC, Ralph Jacquez, and aspiring rappers will talk hip hop, discuss current events, and spit freestyles. The second half of the show is a one-hour mix by DJ TMAC. Rather than keep the door locked like many hosts on The LION 90.fm, DJ TMAC keeps the door wide open for anyone who wants to hang out and experience The Blue Room.

DJ TMAC can be found on Twitter and Instagram @DJTMAC412. He frequently plays gigs in State College, PA and his hometown Pittsburgh. Listen to The Blue Room on Thursday nights from 9-11pm on 90.7fm or worldwide at TheLion.fm.
