This is the weekly news update for the Centre County Report. Some stories included are a drive-in theater that may be shut down, a look at the Penn State Women's Volleyball team, as well as a look at the new Pegula Ice Arena.

Artyom has been a part of ComRadio for two years, beginning his first semester at Penn State University. In addition to duties with ComRadio which include his weekly radio show, various beat writes, board ops, and production duties, he is an intern with gopsusports.com. At his internship, he is learning how to put video highlight packages together, how to be a technical director for a sports broadcast, and how to use a professional camera on the sidelines of a sporting event. He aspires to work behind the camera and focus on the little things that makes a broadcast work,  such as production, as opposed to being directly in front of the camera.

Justin is resident of Closter, New Jersey and an aspiring play-by-play broadcaster. Justin spent the past two summers as an Internet Broadcaster for the Bourne Braves in the Cape Cod Baseball League. Justin currently co-hosts ComRadio’s Inside the NFL and The Association as well as doing play-by-play work for Penn State Football, Baseball, Men’s and Women’s Basketball and the State College Spikes as well as hosting the Penn State Football Pregame Show. He strives to one day be the play-by-play broadcaster for either the New York Knicks, Yankees, or Jets.

Senior / Broadcast Journalism and Political Science

Rachel is currently a senior pursuing a dual major in broadcast journalism and political science with a minor in international relations. Rachel previously reported for The Daily Collegian where she covered the Sandusky trial from inside the courtroom. Rachel has reported for numerous outlets using broadcast, print and social media. She plans to graduate in May 2014. After graduation, Rachel aspires to be a reporter for a national news organization.

Senior / Broadcast Journalism

Cristina Recino is a senior at the Pennsylvania State University. She will graduate in May of 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Sociology. This fall she will join Centre County Report, a weekly live news program produced by Penn State students and faculty.

Cristina has immersed herself in the entertainment world of journalism and has continued to grow as a storyteller through her various courses, extracurricular clubs and activities and internship experiences.

This summer Cristina interned with Vh1.com with their digital production team. She was also one of 100 summer interns chosen from 1,300 applicants for a selective professional development program with the T.Howard Foundation. She hopes to one day become an entertainment news reporter for a major entertainment network.
