This is Ryan Ruff, a senior at the Penn State University majoring in broadcast journalism with a minor in business liberal arts. Through his major, he is a member of the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism within the College of Communications.

Currently, Ruff is a sports producer, play-by-play and color announcer, beat writer and production assistant for Penn State’s Comradio. Through Comradio, he has had the pleasure of announcing events at Wells Fargo Center, Pegula Ice Arena, Beaver Stadium, Bryce Jordan Center, Medlar Field at Lubrano Park and Beard Field.

Attending Penn State has not only provided Ruff with a fantastic learning experience and the chance to develop skills as a broadcaster, but also helped transition him into various internships with WBAL-TV in Baltimore, MD. and 1470 WTTR in Westminster, MD.

Kristen Garrone is a senior studying broadcast journalism and economics at Penn State. Growing up in the fast-paced northeastern news and sports market has greatly piqued her interest in a career of broadcast journalism.  She very interested in sports, both college and professional. She’s a sports anchor and reporter for the Centre County Report and has worked internships around campus with WPSU-Sports and Unrivaled: The Penn State Football Story, Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, and the Lady Lions Basketball team.
Outside of State College, she’s been lucky enough to intern for the PGA’s New England Section and hope to pursue a career in the golf industry.  She’s excited to take advantage of all of the opportunities she has here at PSU and am excited to begin a career in sports journalism.

When Michelle is not executive producing The Centre County Report, she directs the News Division for Penn State’s ComRadio. She has completed internships with WPVI-TV 6abc in Philadelphia in the Production Department, WBHV-FM in State College as a part of B94.5’s Morning Zoo Crew, and Penn State Athletics as an Assistant Producer. She hopes to work as a news reporter and/or producer following graduation. Kaitlyn is currently a production intern for C-NET, Centre County’s Government and Education Access Network, and has been since the Fall of 2015. In the summer of 2015, Kaitlyn was an editing intern with Anatomy Media in New York, NY. During her time at Penn State, Kaitlyn has served on the production crew and as camera operator for two separate live webcasts; one being the Homecoming Parade webcast in September of 2014 and the other being the live webcast of Penn State School of Theatre’s recent production of Julius Caesar. When she graduates, Kaitlyn wants to pursue a career in Television News.

Sam DelRosso is currently a reporter and anchor for the Centre County Report. She is a member of the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism. Sam is pursuing a career in television news.
