Bhangra :: a unique form of art

Zainab Mukadam has danced from when she was a young girl. Bhangra is a traditional form of dance originating in Punjab, India. Bhangra is practiced and performed in the month leading up to the festival of Vaisakhi which celebrates when the crops are harvest and reaped.

Alexa Jones is from Pennsylvania and currently a senior at Penn State University. She will be graduating December 2016 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Sociology. Alexa has gained many useful skills throughout her courses for her degree. Such skills in Photoshop, Premiere Editing, and Hindenburg software and knowledge of using the CommMedia website for Penn State. She enjoys working in teams and thrives working independently. She can see herself being an educator to the public and is passionate about bringing attention to neglected topics.
