So... What's up with the B?

B 94.5 at Seven Mountains Media is much more than just music to listen to. The Morning Getaway on B94.5 is hosted by Angela Steco with co-host Jason Browne. This morning show isn't just talking from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. They are a radio station that wants listerners to laugh a little in the morning to start off the day. They bring in many guests so the listening community can learn a little and possibly become inspired by others. Some examples include a weekly interview and Facebook live with Fitness Inspired to give quick tips about healthy lifestyles. Every Tuesday an animal from Centre County Paws comes to visit at the studio as the "Pet of the Week" which is an on-air segment. On Thursdays, a representative from THON stops in for an on-air segment. 

The Morning Getaway cares about what is going on in the community and wants to be a part of it. They take part of many events throughout the year including the Nittany Mall Zombie Ball. At this event, B 94.5 judged a children's costume contest followed by a dance for all the children partaking. This is one of the biggest events the station attends each year with many members of the company there to assist.

Hello, I’m Kayla. I am a senior broadcast journalism student at Penn State University. I am from Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania which is a smaller town located in Central Pennsylvania. It intrigues me that when I tell people this they automatically say “oh, so we will see you on the news someday.” Although I don’t mind being on camera, I really hope to someday  have a career in either editing video/images or creating social media while analyzing trends.

Throughout my college career I have been able to experience four internships.  Although I have been very dedicated to my work both inside the classroom and outside, I do manage to work a part time job and find time for myself. During my me time, you can find me outside walking at a park or binge watching “The Office” on Netflix for the third time.

I would consider myself a hardworking person and hope to fit in well with a company someday.
