Sophomore Sophia Burghardt discovered her passion for dancing at the age of two. Burghardt recalls it as "...just something her parents put her in." Little did she know she was tip-toeing into a life long passion. Eighteen years later, Sophia is a member of the Vole’ Ballet Club at Penn State.

Burghardt credits her many years in the performing arts for the development of her discipline, character, and creativity. "Dancing just gives me the opportunity to express myself in a way that words cannot."

Burghardt plans on expanding her love of dancing by learning new styles such as hip-hop or tap dancing in the future.

Shaleyah is a 5th year senior at the Pennsylvania State University. She is expected to graduate in December 2016 with a Baccalaureate degree in Broadcast Journalism and a Minor in Sociology. During her time at Penn State she has picked up many writing and technical skills that she has invested into her up and coming YouTube channel. In her spare time Young writes freelance articles under a variety of genres including gaming, beauty, and politics. In the future, Young hopes to gather more experience in the news field and eventually become an anchor at a local news station in her hometown of Washington, D.C..
