Tyler Olson is a sports and news reporter for ComRadio and a writer for the Daily Collegian. At ComRadio he has reported for, anchored, and produced the nightly newscast, anchored and produced special political coverage during the 2016 presidential election, and led the charge including Facebook Live into ComRadio’s repertoire, especially during election coverage. He also contributes to ComRadio as a sports writer. Tyler just finished his candidate semester at the Collegian and is currently waiting for which sports beat he will be assigned for the spring semester. He will update this bio once he gets news on that. Tyler is also an intern at the Game of Golf Institute, a 501c3 with the mission of getting millennials interested in recreational golf. He writes for GOGI’s blog and manages its Twitter, which has over 29,000 followers and over 500,000 impressions monthly.  Tyler also worked for the 2016 congressional primary campaign of David Vogt as a social media consultant and the 2016 congressional general election campaign of Amie Hoeber as a county coordinator. Tyler hopes to work as a sports journalist, political commentator, to run political campaigns, or run for office himself.

Travis Sutton is a member of Penn State’s official web based radio station, ComRadio, as well as pursuing a major in telecommunications. Working on the production staff at ComRadio, Travis helps create productions elements for varying live sports broadcasts. He also writes articles covering Penn State Men’s Hockey for the station as well as being a part of podcasts each week discussing Penn State football. Brian McLaughlin is a sophomore working in CommRadio as a member of the sports staff. He is a Play-by-Play voice for many Penn State sports for CommRadio and especially enjoys calling baseball and football. Brian has also been a writer and podcast host for every major Penn State sport. Other relevant journalism experience comes from an intern with Gopsusports.com as a beat writer for Penn State Women’s Basketball. In the future, he hopes to work as a Play-by-Play announcer for a professional baseball team.

George is currently a student at The Pennsylvania State University studying Broadcast Journalism. He was accepted into the Curley Center for Sports Journalism, and is an active member in the College of Communications radio station.

During his time at Penn State, George covered college football, the NFL, college hockey, and college baseball.

In 2016, George provided play-by-play and color analysis for multiple Penn State sports, including football, mens hockey, and womens hockey for ComRadio.

George currently works for Fansided Inc. as an editor/expert for “NFL Mocks” covering the NFL, College Football, and NFL Draft. He holds the same title for Fansided’s Philadelphia Phillies site “That Ball’s Outta Here.” Throughout the 2016 football season, George published two weekly columns for Fansided.com.

Previously, he interned for Scout Media, Inc. during the summer of 2016 in Seattle, Washington, where he wrote columns, produced videos, and covered The Opening Football camp at the Nike World Headquarters.

Brandon Pelter is a junior majoring in broadcast journalism. During his time with CommRadio, Brandon has served as an editor and Sports Director. Eric Ohlson is a member of ComRadio’s sports and production staffs. He is majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in Kinesiology and is a member of the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism. Eric has done play-by-play for Penn State lacrosse, volleyball, softball, soccer and hockey, and has served as a producer for volleyball and hockey. A big hockey fan, Eric is the current host of ComRadio’s NHL talk show, “The Sin Bin.” One day, Eric hopes to being doing radio or TV play-by-play for lacrosse, soccer and hockey. David Arroyo is both a social media and arts director for CommRadio and also contributes to the sports staff. He has served as a producer for multiple Penn State sports while in CommRadio, has done play by play for Penn State sporting events such as football, basketball and volleyball and co-hosted and produced his own talk show. Tom Shively is a sophomore from Ashburn, Virginia majoring in broadcast journalism. He is one of the CommRadio editors for the 2016-17 school year.
