Rutgers LB Khaseem Greene interview
Rutgers linebacker Khaseem Greene was recognized at the Maxwell Football Awards Gala as the Tri-State Player of the Year. The Elizabeth, NJ native totaled 136 tackles, six sacks and two interceptions as a senior for the Scarlet Knights. After breaking his leg during the bowl game his junior season, Greene recovered to become Big East Defensive Player of the Year.
Greene projects as a three-down Will linebacker in a 4-3 defense at the next level and should receive late-first round consideration, but mostly projects in the early-to-mid second round.
Patrick Woo caught up with Greene in Atlantic City.
