News Report: Boston Marathon Witness Account
BOSTON HAS BEEN IN A STATE OF PANIC TODAY AS THE MANHUNT CONTINUES FOR THE SECOND SUSPECT IN THE MARATHON BOMBING. FOR MANY WHO WERE THERE DURING THE BOMBING, THE RECENT DEVELOPMENTS HAVE BROUGHT A SIGH OF RELIEF.
THERESA LATONA, A COLLEGE STUDENT IN BOSTON, FINISHED THE BOSTON MARATHON BARELY SIX MINUTES BEFORE THE BOMBS WENT OFF AT THE FINISH LINE.
"Well the first thing I thought it was was like a cannon or fireworks to celebrate. But then 20 seconds later it went off again so we knew obviously something went wrong. The cops were like, 'Go out! Don't go back! What're you guys doing standing around, go away go back!'"
METROWEST DAILY NEWS HAS IDENTIFIED THE 19-YEAR-OLD SUSPECT’S LAST KNOWN ADDRESS AS 410 NORFOLK STREET IN CAMBRIDGE MASSACHUSETTS, LESS THAN THREE MILES AWAY FROM LATONA’S APARTMENT NEXT TO FENWAY PARK. SHE RETURNED TO THE SCENE OF THE BOMBING AFTERWARDS TO SEE THE PROGRESS MADE BY INVESTIGATORS.
LATONA ALSO BELIEVES THERE IS NO WAY THE REMAINING SUSPECT AT LARGE WON’T BE CAPTURED BY AUTHORITIES. FOR COMRADIO NEWS, I’M EMILY BURKE.
