UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Republican strategist and political analyst for CNN and CNN Español, Ana Navarro, delivered a message about latin american and hispanic issues along with diversity in today’s political climate.

Penn State junior Erin Campbell said she was “really interested to come and see Ana speak because she is very interested in what she has to say about our politics right now.”

Navarro addressed her personal story with diversity and the role it plays in the national life.

"[I am] saddened by the polarization by the lack of civility by the very ugly and divisive rhetoric and decay of our institutions by the cheapening of the presidency," Navarro said.

Navarro was part of Penn State's Student Programming Association (SPA) "Distinguished Young Speakers" series. SPA will be inviting more speakers for the Penn State community to hear as the year progresses.
