Voters Ride Free
Allie Fox spent most of her day going to polling stations — not for herself — but for others.
Fox, a graduate student part of the Science Policy Society, drove around voters to off-campus polling locations.
After realizing much of the apathy from non-voters was caused by not having an accessible way to get to off-campus polling stations, the SPS eliminated this issue by creating the carpool system for Election Day.
Tom Nigl, the president of SPS said he hopes to continue the voting carpool service each year.
“We can do that, we can just make that happen,” Nigl said.
