Kaila DeRienzo

Senior / Broadcast Journalism, Theatre

My name is Kaila DeRienzo and I am currently a senior majoring in broadcast journalism and minoring in theatre at The Pennsylvania State University. Upon my graduation in December 2012, my goal is to become a reporter or multimedia journalist. My dream someday is to then anchor a news program in a large southern market.  I’ve been working towards this mark by completing a variety of courses and internships that have trained me in various areas of communications including broadcasting, print journalism, advertising and social media.

Often described as motivated, conscientious and ambitious, I am a hard worker who has excellent independent and group work skills. My strong personality makes me a positive asset to every organization I belong to.  With exceptional speaking, social and organizational skills, I have proven to be a dynamic force in the field of communications. 

My superior education and training at Penn State has
undoubtedly prepared me to succeed in this fast-paced, exciting industry. I am ready and eager to enter the workforce while maintaining a strong sense of professionalism and passion for broadcasting.
