Outside of the College of Comm, Alex also partakes in THON.
Junior / Film
Erin is a junior intending to major in Film, but with a soft spot for Broadcast Journalism. Her love of videography and multimedia compel her to exercise these skill sets in as many areas as possible. She hopes to work behind the scenes in either a newsroom setting or perhaps concentrate her work into the field of Cinematography in collaboration with a major motion picture studio.
Senior / Broadcast Journalism
Bryan McSorley is a senior majoring in broadcast journalism from Conway, Pennsylvania. He has gained valuable experience in the broadcast field through his work with ComRadio, Centre County Report and his internship with Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics. As a member of ComRadio, McSorley has worked as play-by-play broadcaster, color analyst and board operator for many NCAA sports. He also co-host ComRadio’s Inside the NFL radio show. McSorley was the technical director for the Centre County Report starting in the spring of 2013 and has continued work with them this semester. In the future, McSorley dreams of working for a major sports production company either behind the scenes or in front of the camera.
Senior / Broadcast Journalism and Management Information Systems
As a senior at Penn State, I’ve hosted and anchored more than ten hours of live television, including newscasts, roundtable discussions and webcasts for the nation’s largest homecoming parade and largest student-run philanthropy in the world. The reporter in me lives for writing, shooting and editing my own stories with a definite soft spot for human interest stories and features.
On top of my journalism major, I am also a dual major in management information systems with a graduation date of May 2014. I then plan on entering the journalism field as an on-air reporter.

Steve is a senior telecommunications major with a focus in Television Production at Penn State. Preferring to work behind the camera, he has worked on his skills in the control room and behind the camera throughout the years. This past summer he interned in the production department for the Altoona Curve, a double A baseball affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Steve also works for gopsusports.com, working on the production team for all University athletic events. In the future Steve hopes to work either for a television station, or something to do with the production of sports or music.
