Centre County Election Day Draws Voters Young And Old
For some Penn State students, 2018 was their first chance to cast a ballot. For others in Centre County, it was just another early November Tuesday. Jack Hirsh talked to a couple voters on both ends of the spectrum.

Jack Hirsh is a junior from Villanova, PA. In addition to his work with the Centre County Report, Jack has been the multimedia editor for Penn State’s on-campus news outlet, The Daily Collegian, since his sophomore year, creating web based videos and graphics for one of the nation’s leading student news organizations. Prior to that position, he was a sports beat reporter for the Collegian, covering the football, men’s basketball and golf teams. Jack is an avid sports fan, particularly golf, which he has played competitively throughout his life. In the summer of 2018, he combined his interests into an internship with the Golf Channel in Orlando. Jack served as a production assistant in the instruction department, as well as other programs including Golf Central. His career ambition is to be a golf
and sports “story-teller” through print or broadcast (ideally both).
