Brian McLaughlin

Senior / Broadcast Journalism

Brian McLaughlin is a Senior in the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications and one of two student General Managers for CommRadio. He is a Play-by-Play voice for many Penn State sports for CommRadio. Recently he has worked as a Play by Play broadcaster for the Y-D Red Sox in the Cape Cod Baseball League. Previously, he has also worked as a Play by Play Broadcaster for the Kalamazoo Growlers of the Northwoods League. Travis Sutton

Junior / Telecommunications

Travis Sutton is the director of the production department he oversees and helps create productions elements for varying live sports broadcasts. He also directs the installation of these and other elements into station software. Travis aspires to work in production for a major sports network or national sports league. Zach Kaplan

Senior / Broadcast Journalism

Zach Kaplan is a senior broadcast journalism major with a double minor in history and sociology. Beyond his work with the Centre County Report, Zach is involved with CommRadio as a sports director and on-air personality, as well as a broadcaster for BTN Student U productions on-campus. He also works with 46Live both on-air and as a producer to provide live coverage of Penn State’s annual Dance Marathon.

Outside of his on-air work, Zach writes for Penn State Athletics covering men’s hockey and lacrosse and has held summer internships with Israel Sports Radio, the Cape Cod Baseball League, and the Coastal Plain League.

I love to travel and have been all over the world including Paris, Rome, Turks & Caicos, and my favorite city in the world, London. I enjoy meeting new people and experiencing culture different than my own. Getting to know other people and giving them a platform to tell their stories is a blessing and I’m so thankful I get to live out my dream everyday.

Kacey Gill

Kacey Gill is a senior from Stamford, Connecticut. In the Fall of 2019, she served as director/technical director for the Centre County Report and is currently one of four executive producers for the program. Stephen Svitko

Stephen is a senior from Camp Hill, Pennsylvania majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in Sociology. His passion for sports led him to join the John C. Curley School for Sports Journalism within the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications. Stephen has been a member of the Penn State Blue Band for four years and values the lessons he’s learning there: leadership, dedication, and diligence. These are all values he brings to his work as a journalist.
