Grace Hayba is currently reporting for the Centre County Report and is a senior at the Pennsylvania State University. She previously worked for NBC4 Washington as a newsroom intern and for the Walt Disney World Company. Originally from Loudoun County, VA, she came to Penn State specifically for their communications program and is excited to learn more about storytelling and how to improve her writing skills.

Ally is a junior from Huntingdon Valley, PA minoring in French. Her love for sports has influenced her focus within journalism. While at Penn State she has completed a live video internship and will continue working part-time with Penn State athletics. Over the summer, Ally worked freelance as a replay operator for the Philadelphia Phillies.
Ryan is a Telecommunications major and English BA/MA student at Penn State University, originally from Harrisburg, PA. He’s interned for B94.5 Radio, Lady Lions Basketball, Harrisburg Improv Theatre, and WITF Public Broadcasting working with social media, video/audio production, graphic design and writing. Ryan is involved with several organizations on campus including Phroth Humor Publication and Full Ammo Improv. Currently, he’s an executive producer for the Centre County Report.

Jack Hirsh is a senior from Villanova, PA. He is an Executive Producer for the Centre County Report. In addition to his work with the Centre County Report, Jack has been the multimedia editor for Penn State’s on-campus news outlet, The Daily Collegian, since his sophomore year, creating web based videos and graphics for one of the nation’s leading student news organizations. Prior to that position, he was a sports beat reporter for the Collegian, covering the football, men’s basketball and golf teams. Jack is an avid sports fan, particularly golf, which he has played competitively throughout his life. In the summer of 2018, he combined his interests into an internship with the Golf Channel in Orlando. Jack served as a production assistant in the instruction department, as well as other programs including Golf Central. His career ambition is to be a golf and sports “story-teller” and reporter through print or broadcast (ideally both).

Ava Rash is a Junior from Pittsburgh, PA. As an avid sports fan, Ava has taken the steps to further her experience on and off the court. For the past year, Ava has worked for Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics as a marketing intern and is currently an emcee for sporting events including Mens and Women’s Hockey, and Women’s Field Hockey. Ava has helped with the production and marketing of games, including the Men’s Basketball THON Hoops game, which was the highest attended game in years. Ava is a member of the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism, and hopes to continue her career as a sideline reporter. Ava has previously worked as Penn State’s Homecoming Sideline announcer where she commented and interviewed throughout the live event. Ava also works for the Centre County Report as a reporter.
